Message from the Director
Thank you for contacting the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department. We are a full service, public parks and recreation provider. Parks Division
The Parks Division manages more than 400 acres of land including 35 park sites featuring more than a dozen ball fields, 16 tennis courts, six playgrounds, 3/4 of a mile of lakefront property, a greenhouse, a nursery, 160 acres of open space, a cemetery, recreation facilities and Kissimmee's City facilities. Tax dollars are saved by the use of community service workers, which account for more than an additional 5,000 man-hours of service annually.

Recreation Division
The Recreation Division operations include Aquatics, Civic and Community Center facilities along with recreation, athletic programs and special events. We offer more than 100 quality programs and award-winning events to our citizens and visitors. We are always looking for new ideas, instructors and volunteers. Active projects include renovation of the Kissimmee Civic Center and programming the new Denn John Middle School Gymnasium that the City assisted in funding.

Current Projects: Civic Center Expansion, Fortune Road Complex, Denn John Middle School Gymnasium, Middle School Programs, Lancaster Ranch, and the Lake Tohopekaliga Restoration Project.
